Central themes are the interaction between political, technological and economic factors and various aspects of labour markets, industrial relations and working life.

An emphasis is also placed on international coverage of empirical findings including discussion of the changing social and economic conditions in labour markets, as well as human capital and participation issues, and the enhancement of working life, ranging from micro to macro levels in various countries.
